Mike lived in and around US Navy bases as he grew up. Mike is proud of being a “Navy Brat with 20 years in the US Navy before leaving home.” From college to Service Engineer positions with IBM Corporation and Hewlett-Packard, his business travel took him to Japan, Singapore, Europe and Israel, working with various cultures on business solutions. A hands-on farmer, rancher, explorer, archeologist, builder. His hobbies, besides traveling, are motorcycling – throughout North and Central Americas (over 200,000 miles on a motorcycle). Off-roading with Jeeps, Classic cars and restoration. After retiring in 2002, he spent most of the free time with charity projects, locally, and throughout Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Cuba. A frequent visitor of Baja California Mexico. A wood craft worker. A Native of Waukegan Illinois, he grew up in Southern California, Hawaii, and Northern California. Moved to Idaho. Married his high school sweetheart over 57 years ago, and has four grandkids in Idaho and Texas. A student of World War 2, especially of the War in the Pacific. A resident of Arizona during the winter.
